We are seeking an experienced Tool Designer / Mechanical Designer who enjoys solving real-world manufacturing challenges and transforming design concepts into finished products.

This is a hands-on design opportunity for someone who thrives in a manufacturing environment and enjoys collaborating with customers, machinists, fabricators, and fellow designers. You will be involved throughout the entire process, from initial concept development and design through fabrication, assembly, and final build.

Key Responsibilities

• Design precision tooling, fixtures, gauges, and custom manufacturing equipment.
\n
• Develop practical, cost-effective solutions to complex manufacturing challenges.
\n
• Create accurate 3D models, assemblies, and detailed engineering drawings.
\n
• Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to ensure design accuracy and manufacturability.
\n
• Collaborate closely with customers, designers, machinists, and fabricators to bring concepts to life.
\n
• Support projects throughout the complete lifecycle, from initial design and development to final build and implementation.
\n
• Ensure designs meet quality standards, functional requirements, and manufacturing specifications.
\n

Qualifications and Skills

\n
• 3+ years of mechanical or tool design experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
\n
• Experience with SolidWorks preferred.
\n
• Strong mechanical design capabilities and proficiency in CAD software.
\n
• Working knowledge of machining, fabrication, and manufacturing processes.
\n
• Understanding of GD&T principles and the ability to interpret and create engineering drawings.
\n
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop practical engineering solutions.
\n
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with shop-floor personnel.
\n
• A hands-on mindset, strong work ethic, and commitment to producing high-quality work.
\n
• Demonstrates honesty, integrity, reliability, and a willingness to learn and contribute to the team.
